This project is being implemented in Senegal to promote the use of water hyacinth and typha biomass for poverty reduction, food security and sustainable environmental management. The project activities involve research and training of communities on the use of water hyacinth as agro-fertiliser, and use of typha weed as substrate for cultivating mushroom for food and income, and as biogas for energy.
