UNU-INRA Director, Fatima Denton, is set to participate in a panel discussion as part of the Foresight Africa 2022 report launch in Accra, Ghana on the 21st of March 2022. The event is set to launch the document under the same name and the conference that will be happening later in the year. The event is part of a co-partnership between Brookings Africa Growth Initiative (AGI) and African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET).

Foresight Africa arose from evaluating where the African Continent stood in the wake of the COVID Pandemic. The project takes account of the issues that Africa currently faces such as high employment, lack of proper infrastructure and the ever-growing threat of climate change. However, Foresight Africa takes note of its current assets the African continent has; its youth, enterprising women and the opportunity to reset. In this realization, Foresight Africa seeks to analyze how the African Continent and Global partners can utilize its assets and make the most of its recovery.

The other panelists are Joseph Asanka of Afrobarometer, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area,  Honorable Wamkele Mene, Senior Fellow at Brookings, Aloysious Uche Ordu, Executive Vice President of the African Center of Economic Transformation, Mavis Owusu Gyamfi and Senior Lecturer in Economics Priscilla Twumasi Baffour.
