The Human Security Programme in Northern Ghana, which has been jointly implemented by six UN agencies (UNDP, UNICEF, WFP, FAO, UNIDO and UNU-INRA), the Government of Ghana and other key stakeholders since 2009, will end in May 2013.

As part of activities to mark the official closing of the programme, and to provide a platform for knowledge and experience sharing, a human security conference will be held on 22–23 May 2013 in Accra, Ghana, under the theme of “The Quest for Human Security: Knowledge and Experiences from Ghana and Across the Globe”.  A wide range of stakeholders — including researchers, practitioners, policymakers and other interested individuals — are expected to share their knowledge and experiences in human security at this conference so as to exchange innovative ideas, promote networking and forge collaboration towards human security.

For more information, see the following documents (Call for Papers and Posters, Abstract Submission Format, Draft Conference Agenda and Basic Logistical Information) under the Related Files tab.

This conference is open to the public. If you would like to attend, please register (by 30 April) via the REGISTER button above.
