The United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) cordially invites the general public  to the launch of two latest books released by the Institute. The aim of the book launch is to share information on the key natural resources management issues addressed in the books and discuss proposed relevant policy options therein with key stakeholders.

Book Titles

• Harnessing Land and Water Resources for Improved Food Security and Ecosystem Services in Africa
• Economic and Financial Analyses of Small and Medium Food Crops Agro-Processing Firms in Ghana

The first book entitled “Harnessing Land and Water Resources for Improved Food Security and Ecosystem Services in Africa” examines challenges facing land and water resources management in Africa and explores possible measures to improve food security and reduce poverty on the continent.

The second book, “Economic and Financial Analyses of Small and Medium Food Crops Agro-Processing Firms in Ghana’’, reports on a research project that analysed agro-processing firms’ economic and financial situations in Ghana. The book provides a framework that will enable policy makers and other actors to prioritize interventions needed for using agro-processing to rationalize industrialization, substitute import, create jobs and promote inclusive growth in Ghana.

UNU-INRA, in line with its mandate, produces knowledge products including books, working papers, journal articles and policy briefs on its research and other capacity development programmes, so as to promote the efficient use of Africa’s natural resources.
